Smart, Connected, Secure – Foundational components of Cities, Buildings and Infrastructure in the IoT Age

Sensors are deployed literally everywhere – in machines, cars, buildings, infrastructure components, and many more areas. When it comes for example to Smart Cities, there is a great value in correlating this data to derive information for planning and managing life in a city, may it be related to safety, sustainability or comfort.

The huge amount of data leads to three important questions: Firstly, how to collect, compute and safely transport all the data? Secondly, how to derive information and knowledge from all the data sources? Finally, how can Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Maintenance generate value out of this knowledge?

The presentation will provide the foundation and first steps to solve some of the challenges in IoT, increasing the success of projects in this area.
